Provisional dates 19-20 May 2021
We have decided not to hold the conference in September, as too many potential delegates would not be able to, or want to, travel to an international conference. Our hope is that it will be possible in 2021. The provisional dates are 19-20 May 2021 trying to avoid the various public holidays in May that happen in some countries. We hope to see you there.

We are pleased to announce that the 20th IEBA Annual Conference will be held on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 September 2020, with the welcome reception on Monday 21 September, at The Hotel in Brussels. We are letting you know at this early stage in case you are able to rebook your travel arrangements that you had made for next week.
We are planning to give delegates who have already paid for the March conference a credit against the delegate fee for the September conference, and we would appreciate if you could indicate at this stage whether you would be likely to be able to attend in September. We will be opening registration in due course at which point we will contact you again. (Please note that we are not yet able to offer refunds on delegate fees/payments already made, until we have more clarity over the outcome of negotiations with our various suppliers.)
03 March 20
It is with much regret that I am announcing a postponement of the annual IEBA conference in Brussels on March 11-12 due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus outbreak.
The Conference Organizing Committee has been monitoring developments closely; our first cancellations due to COVID-19 only happened last week, and now we are in the position that a large percentage of the total attendees is unable to attend due to internal travel restrictions or concerns over personal safety. In light of this, and our concern for the health and safety of the IEBA membership, the 2020 annual conference will not be able to take place in March. We reviewed in depth the possibility of going ahead as a virtual conference, but decided as a committee that much of the value of the conference is in bringing people together; depending on further developments with COVID-19, we would very much like to hold the conference later in the year.
